FAQ Off, Or I'll Call The Police

So today was FAQ day, and the Cheese Chair took the brunt of the beating, rising in points by 30. I dislike this. Its not the points that make it so clearly build from camembert. Its the idea of f5 Easterlings. That's as good as a 300 year old elf warrior, or as good as Eomer. Keep the buff, but don't have it apply to Black Dragons....but then I suppose that doesn't help you shift plastic crack. Anyhow, with the golden boiz still rank with the smell of parmesan, their presence on the table will still be swelled with Cheese Chair, Cheese Woman and Cheese Mage. 


Rant over, what's happening over the next few months?


9th March - Yorks vs Lincs Day Of Fun. 

In the wings is a friendly event where from the best county (Yorkshire) come to take on my adopted county (Lincolnshire). A non-GBHL event based on fun and frolics. 


17th March - Back In Hull.

Something a little different this time, with an escalation event. Start at 200pts, then 400pts, then 600. 5 games in a day is hectic, and the pack has banned legions which sucks ass for my Mirkwood Rangers, and also mandated a captain to lead. Mirkwood ranger captains being officially the shittest captains in the game, Im stuck between taking them anyway like a gigachad legend; taking something decent and on-hand (dwarves), or trying to paint 600pts of Corsairs in 4 weeks. That I don't own. 

21st April - Aalborg, Denmark.

Well that's a little curveball. A one-dayer in Denmark. More on this hot news later, but needless to say there is method in the madness.


27th April - Somewhere called Hinckey.

A slightly weird one-dayer, in a place where I thought they were building a nuclear power station. Its not. Its actually near Leicester. A fun little one-dayer at 500pts to try and nab some gbhl points. Its a "90" so I will be trying mega hard.

Povos, Parmos, PJ & Duncan

Alreeet folk, This time, the toy soldiers have been "ooop norf" risking life and limb in a strange part of the world where we have to be on our guard against all things wrong about the north of England. To set the scene, I took the Smelves of Elrond up to a one-dayer in Middlesborough, which is somewhere I had only ever skirted around before. Lets consider some more about geography. Yorkshire. Yorkshire is simply the best county in England, and therefore the world. No-one is in any doubt about this, and if they are they get beatings. (Bad) Back Once Again With The MESBG Master

Alreet pets, This week, I have mostly been lying down with a hot water bottle. In the week that followed the highly skewed event that was Tis A Gathering, I have regained the ability to walk again. Its the sad marker that, as an old person who takes little care of himself, it shouldn't be surprising when vital structures like my spine fail. Still, my R4 opponent wont forget that game in a hurry.  Tis A Gathering is a GBHL80 event due to your being able to win without actually winning games. It adds the additional dimensions of "hobby" and "sportsmanship" - each of which are scored out of 20. This makes it fully 3D gaming, and it pleases me that you can win all, or 5, of your games but still rank quite lowly if you are a cunt. Several key moments for me (who only played Day 2 due to numbers) were: sweating my tits off on day 1 as we sweltered in the heat; three of us eating tapas for 4; and doing my back after about 15 minutes of playing toy soldiers.  The golden...
